Consider and take action to authorize staff to proceed with the procurement of real property interests associated with the CIP ST 0903 Austin Street - FM 270 to Louisiana Avenue Improvements Project (Assistant City Manager, Public Works)
Staff recommends approval.
Background:
The City needs to obtain real property rights-of-entry agreements and fee simple right-of-way interests for six properties affected by the Austin Street - FM 270 to Louisiana Avenue Improvements Project. The project location exhibit is attached. Also attached are survey drawings of the six parcels.
Staff requests approval from City Council to: (1) solicit rights-of-entry agreements from the affected property owners; and (2) negotiate conveyance terms with the property owners to the end that formal conveyance offers (via sale and purchase, exchange, or donation) may be tendered, subject to further Council approval, to the property owners.
Requests for approvals for the rights-of-entry agreements and formal conveyance offers shall be brought back to City Council for its consideration.
