Consider and take action to authorize staff to proceed with the procurement of real property interests associated with the CIP WT 1002 Beamer Road Water Line Extension Project (Assistant City Manager, Public Works)
Staff recommends approval.
Background:
The City needs to obtain real property rights-of-entry agreements and water line easement interests across properties the Beamer Road Water Line Extension Project will be crossing. The project route is from Bay Area Boulevard (near Bay Brook Mall) to the proposed North Side Water Booster Station site to be located on Grissom Road. The project route is depicted on the attached aerial exhibit.
Staff requests approval from City Council to: (1) solicit rights-of-entry agreements from the affected property owners; and (2) negotiate conveyance terms with the property owner(s) to the end that formal conveyance offers (via sale and purchase, exchange, or donation) may be tendered, subject to further Council approval, to the affected property owners.
Requests for approvals for rights-of-entry agreements and formal conveyance offers shall be brought back to City Council for its consideration.
