Consider and take action to authorize staff to proceed with the procurement of real property interests associated with the CIP WT 1003 North Side Water Booster Station Project (Assistant City Manager, Public Works)
Staff recommends approval.
Background:
The City needs to obtain a real property right-of-entry agreement and fee simple interests for the proposed North Side Water Booster Station site to be located on Grissom Road. The site will be the receiving station for the potable water delivered through the Beamer Road Water Line Extension Project. The site is being sized for the Booster Station infrastructure; including a water well. The proposed site location is depicted on the attached aerial exhibit.
Staff requests approval from City Council to: (1) solicit a right-of-entry agreement from the affected property owner; and (2) negotiate conveyance terms with the property owner to the end that a formal conveyance offer (via sale and purchase, exchange, or donation) may be tendered, subject to further Council approval, to the property owner.
Requests for approvals for the rights-of-entry agreement and formal conveyance offer shall be brought back to City Council for its consideration.
