Consider and take action on the approval of a resolution declaring thirty-one (31) fleet vehicles surplus and approve the method to be used to dispose of the property (Assistant City Manager, Public Works)
Staff recommends approval and recommends a public auction for disposal of said items not being traded in.
Background:
Per article VI, Section 2-301 of the City of League City Code of Ordinances, before any property of the
City is sold; City Council shall first declare the property surplus and also choose the method to be used in
disposing of the property. Attached Exhibit “A” is a listing of items.
Thirty (30) surplus vehicles will be sold in auction and one unit will be disposed as a trade in. Unit 878 (2000 CMI Mixer), will be traded in for a 2010 Asphalt Reclaimer with a value of $80,000.
Surplus vehicles are being replaced per the Motor Pool Capital Replacement Fund.
