Consider and take action to approve a contract for election services between the Election Officer of Harris County, Harris County and the City of League City for the Special Election on November 3, 2015 (City Secretary)
Background:
Harris County will be conducting a joint election on November 3, 2015 for multiple entities and desires to provide election services to the City of League City for those Harris County voters who reside in Precinct 0655. The County will provide mail ballots to eligible Harris County voters who request them. The County will provide all equipment, supplies and personnel required for Early Voting and Election Day as detailed in the attached contract.
The City's pro rata share is computed by attributing the total number of registered voters within the precincts that will be serviced by the County. The City's participation for the 2014 General-Special Election was $990.
