Consider and take action on a request for consent to encroach for a proposed monument sign to be constructed within the City’s Landing Boulevard right-of-way (Deputy City Manager)
Background:
If approved, this consent to encroach will allow for the construction of a monument sign, for the Landing development, within the City’s Landing Boulevard right-of-way.
During the construction of median modifications associated with the new Walmart facility located at the intersection of FM 518 and Landing Boulevard, the Landing development’s monument sign that was located within the median was removed.
The purpose of this consent to encroach is to allow for a replacement monument sign to be installed within the Landing Boulevard median, south of the original sign’s location.
The City is not giving up any of its rights and the Landing Homeowners Association shall be responsible for any maintenance and repairs to the monument sign proposed to be constructed. A copy of the proposed consent to encroach document is attached, as is an aerial location map depicting the general location of the proposed sign.
