Consider and take action on appointment of a member to the Board of Directors of the Harris-Galveston Subsidence District (Mayor Paulissen)
Background:
Mayors of all municipalities in Galveston County jointly appoint two directors from those municipalities.
The term of office of Jason Hayley will expire on January 31, 2016. The Mayor recommends reappointment of Jason Hayley to the board; if nominated by a majority of Galveston County cities, he will serve a 2-year term.
The Subsidence District requests a letter confirming the appointment from the City of League City by Friday, January 15, 2016.
