Presentation of the League City Police Department’s Annual Racial Profiling Report for CY2015 (Chief of Police)
Background:
This annual report contains three sections that present information on citation-based contact data, along with documentation which demonstrates that the League City Police Department has complied with The Texas Racial Profiling Law. Section 1 contains the table of contents and the Texas Law on Racial Profiling. Section 1 also provides a list of requirements relevant to the Racial Profiling Law as established by Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE). Sections 2 and 3 contain documentation which demonstrates compliance by the League City Police Department with the Texas Racial Profiling Law. Section 2 and 3 also include documents relevant to the implementation of an institutional policy banning racial profiling, the implementation of a racial profiling complaint process (including the manner in which it has been disclosed to the public) and the training administered to all law enforcement personnel.
This report provides statistical data relevant to public contacts, made during the course of traffic stops, between 01/01/15 and 12/31/15. This information has been analyzed and compared to data derived from the U.S. Census Bureau in the form of the Fair Roads Standard, and to the citation-based contact data collected in 2015. The final analysis and recommendations are also included
