Consider and take action to waive rental fees and profits from concessions for a non-profit event to be held by the League City Little League at the Chester L Davis Sportsplex (Council Member Gross and Council Member Bentley)
Background:
The League City Little League is sponsoring a fundraiser for the benefit of Joseph Fleming, a young child diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. The fund raiser is in the form of a baseball tournament to be held at the Chester L Davis Sportsplex on October 2, 2016.
Upon receipt of a letter affirmatively indicating the event is for non-profit for the benefit of the child the rental fees for this event will be waived. The 15% of net profits to be paid to the city from concessions for any funds raised for the event will also be waived.
