Consider and take action on a resolution ratifying a two year contract with Envirodyne Laboratories, Inc. for laboratory testing services related to the City’s wastewater in an amount not to exceed $128,000 (Deputy City Manager)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will ratify an existing contract with Envirodyne Laboratories Inc. for laboratory services related to the City's wastewater in an amount not to exceed $128,000. Due to unforeseen regulatory activities recently mandated by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the City must perform additonal testing on its wastewater. As the total expenditures under the contract exceed $50,000, City Council approval is required.
On June 9, 2015 three proposals were received in response to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) #15-033 Annual Wastewater Laboratory Services. The proposals received are listed below:

Envirodyne Laboratories, Inc. was selected as the lowest responsible bidder based upon bid prices and estimated quantities of tests for the two (2) year(s) term (7/1/15 to 7/7/2017). The contract also has an option to extend the term of the Agreement for two (2) successive one (1) year extensions.
