Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a design agreement with LJA Engineering for the 24” Waterline Relocation on League City Parkway project in an amount not exceed $126,700.00 (Director of Budget & Project Management)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize the award of the design agreement to LJA Engineering for design of the 24” Waterline Relocation Project on League City Parkway project (WT1602).
The agreement covers full design services, permitting, and surveying, to relocate the 24” waterline on League City Parkway between Meadowlark Lane and Leisure Lane. The waterline needs relocating due to encroachment from the adjacent pond. Stabilization of the adjacent pond bank was explored in FY2016 but was estimated to cost more than relocation of the water line with minimal interest from TxDOT to participate in the cost at this time.
Staff requests approval to award the design contract and the authorization of funds, as follows:
1. Design contract with LJA Engineering in an amount not to exceed $126,700.00
