Consider and take action on a resolution approving the appointment of various board members to the Galveston County United Board of Health (Mayor Hallisey)
Background:
The United Board of Health is a thirteen (13) member board whose members are nominated by the Galveston County Commissioners' Court and approved by a majority of member local governments. Board members serve two (2) year terms, after which they are renewed or replaced.
On August 8, 2018 the Galveston County Commissioners' Court nominated the following members for appointment to the United Board of Health:
Terms to expire April 30, 2019
Holly Lilley Food Service (new appointment)
Della Grusendorf Brown Registered Nurse (new appointment)
Terms to expire April 30, 2020
Tripp Montalbo Mainland Medical Center (re-appointment)
Curtis Klages, DVM Veterinarian UTMB (re-appointment)
Mary Jo Godinich, MD Medical Society (re-appointment)
Patrick McGinnis, MD Citizen at Large (re-appointment)
Dewey H. Brunt, PE Engineer (new appointment)
