Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing an expenditure of $155,483.82 to Presidio Company for replacement network equipment for various City buildings (Director of Information Technology)
Background:
Approval of this item will allow for the replacement and installation of network equipment for city buildings; as this equipment is at the end of life and support is no longer available or it cannot be covered under maintenance.
The proposal includes replacement of network switches at the following buildings:
Municipal Court
Building 500 & 600
Brittany Bay Water Tower
Line Repair
Streets Department
Fire Stations 1-5
SWWRFF
Civic Center
South Shore Water Tower
Sportsplex
League Park offices
E FM 518 Water Plant
Vehicle Maintenance
Hwy 3 Water Plant
Lynn Gripon Park at Countryside
Presidio is on State Contract Texas DIR-TSO-4167
The proposal is for 13, 48 ports network switches and 8, 24 port network switches
