Hold a public hearing regarding the adoption of the Land Use Assumption and Capital Improvements Plan for which a roadway capital recovery fee may be imposed (Director of Engineering)
Background:
This public hearing being requested is part of the roadway capital recovery fee creation process. In accordance with Chapter 395 of the Texas Local Government Code, the City Council must adopt the land use assumptions and capital improvements plan. As per the Texas Code, the capital recovery fee can only be assessed based on land use and capital improvements over the next 10 years. A public hearing will be held tonight for any additional public input.
The Capital Improvements Advisory Committee (CIAC) convened on July 16, 2016. The purpose of the meeting was to receive a briefing regarding potential impact fees for roadways in League City. Compliant with Chapter 395, Texas Local Government Code, the Capital Improvements Advisory Committee (CIAC) assisted in the review and recommendation of land use assumptions and capital improvements plans for the consideration of potential roadway impact fees by the City Council.
The Capital Improvements Advisory Committee (CIAC) received a presentation regarding the land use assumptions and proposed capital improvement projects in League City over the next 10-year period.
This is the first of 2 required public hearings required for the implementation of roadway capital recovery fees.
