Consider and take action on Ordinance 2018-37 approving the League City 2018 Master Mobility Plan as an element of the Comprehensive Plan of the City of League City - Second Reading (Director of Engineering)
City Council approved first reading 5-3-0 on October 23, 2018.
Background:
Approval of this ordinance will approve the League City 2018 Master Mobility Plan as an element of the Comprehensive Plan of the City of League City.
The League City Master Mobility Plan was developed to provide a thorough evaluation of the City’s current mobility infrastructure and its future mobility infrastructure needs. The Master Mobility Plan looks at all existing modes of transportation, as well as future modes of transportation, and takes into consideration previously developed plans. A citywide transportation model was developed as part of the plan. Transportation needs were evaluated on an existing level and a projected level based on the City’s growth rate as noted in the approved Land Use Assumptions Plan. Infrastructure needs were developed and prioritized based upon Level of Service.
The League City 2018 Master Mobility Plan will replace the current version which was approved by Council in February 2012, and approval of this item is needed to move forward with the implementation of Roadway Capital Recovery Fees.
