Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing the purchase of five (5) new vehicles and related equipment through GoodBuy for an amount not to exceed $154,667 (Director of Public Works)
Background:
Approval of this resolution with authorize the purchase of five (5) new vehicles to add to the existing fleet inventory to meet the city’s current and future growth and operations demand.
The approved FY2019 budget authorized funding in the amount of $160,100 for five (5) new vehicles to add to the fleet, with funding provided by the General Fund and PAC.
The cost for new vehicles totals $154,667 through GoodBuy. All vehicles will be purchases through Silsbee Ford and equipped from Lone Star Products and Equipment LLC for the public safety vehicle utilizing GoodBuy pricing.

FUNDING
{X} Funds are available from the following departments in the Autos & Trucks Accounts: Police ($32,103) Account #2100000-55520; Public Access Channel ($57,901) Account #22451200-55520; Streets/Stormwater & Traffic ($64,663) Account #3300000-55520. Streets/Stormwater & Traffic will do a budget reallocation transfer from their operating budget to cover the $2,163 shortage.
