Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing the purchase of ten (10) replacement vehicles and four (4) new vehicles through state contracts for an amount not to exceed $462,376 (Director of Public Works)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize the purchase of ten (10) replacement vehicles and four (4) new vehicles to meet the City’s current and future growth and operations demand through state contracts in an amount not to exceed $462,376.
The FY2020 approved budget authorized funding to replace ten (10) replacement vehicles from the Capital Replacement Fund to purchase general automobiles and trucks from Silsbee Ford utilizing a GoodBuy state contract and the Facilities bucket truck from ALTEC Sourcewell Contract #012418-ALT. Total funding for the replacement vehicles will be $360,823.
The FY2020 approved budget authorized funding for four (4) additional vehicles for Park Operations, Facilities Maintenance, Utility Billing and Wastewater. These vehicles will be purchased through the Silsbee Ford GoodBuy contract for a total cost not to exceed $101,253.
The total cost for replacement and new vehicle purchases, including a $300 GoodBuy purchasing fee will be $462,376.
