Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a one-year renewal agreement with Yellowstone Landscape - Central, Inc. for city-wide rough-cut mowing services in an amount not to exceed $590,700 (Director of Public Works)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize a one-year renewal agreement with Yellowstone Landscape - Central, Inc. for rough-cut mowing services from October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023 in an amount not to exceed $590,700 including a 3% escalation in unit pricing with the existing agreement, with the option to renew for one (1) additional one-year period.
• Exhibit A - Rough-Cut Mowing (6 per year) -- $408,000
• Exhibit C - Right-of-Way Mowing (9 per year) -- $ 20,000
• Exhibit D - Roadside Ditch Mowing (9 per year) -- $109,100
• Exhibit E - Flow Lines and Detention Basins Mowing (1 incidental) -- $ 28,600
• Incidental/New Additions -- $ 25,000
• Fiscal Year Total -- $590,700
On October 22, 2019, City Council approved a three-year agreement with Yellowstone Landscape - Central, Inc. Bid# 19-PW-036 for the period November 1, 2019 through September 30, 2022 in a total not to exceed amount of $2,121,008.55, with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year periods.
The overall not to exceed contract amount of $590,700 includes the following additions/deletions:
Additions
• Borden’s Gully - Calder Rd to Tallow Forest (8.87 acres)
• Dallas Salmon Wastewater Treatment Plant Berm (.43 acres)
• Big League Dreams (4.49 acres)
• Benson’s Bayou - short segment League City Parkway to Power Street Linear Detention (1.56 acres)
• Tuscan Lakes Detention (5.77 acres)
• Genco Canal Hike & Bike Trail - FM 2094 to FM 518 (1.4 acres)
Deletions
• I-45 Frontage Rd acreage was reduced from 86.34 acres to 71 acres due to the on-going TxDOT widening project
• Reduced Exhibit E frequencies from 4 to 1 incidental due to the implementation of the City’s Marsh Master Mowing Program
