Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a one-year renewal agreement with Land & Sea Services 1, Inc. for City-Wide Generator Maintenance, Repairs, and Emergency Services in an amount not to exceed $101,814 (Director of Public Works)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize a one-year renewal agreement with Land & Sea Services 1, Inc. for city-wide generator preventive maintenance services from October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023 in an amount not to exceed $101,814 including a 3% escalation in accordance with the existing agreement and an estimated amount of $50,000 for unforeseen repairs and emergency services, with the option to renew for one (1) additional one-year period.
On October 8, 2019, City Council approved a three-year agreement with Land & Sea Services 1, Inc. ITB# 19-PW-037 for the period October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2022 in a total not to exceed amount of $300,915, with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year periods.
The primary purpose of the agreement is for annual preventive maintenance services, which has historically been under $50,000, for forty (40) Stand-by Generators that serve the City’s Water, Wastewater, and Building Facilities. Preventive maintenance services in this contract includes one annual comprehensive maintenance (ACM) visit, one annual load analysis (ALA), and one additional PM visit. Repairs and emergency services are additional services that are based on a set hourly rate.
Land & Sea Services, Inc. has agreed to the terms of this renewal and Staff’s recommendation is to renew the agreement for city-wide generator maintenance, repairs, and emergency services based on performance history and fair market pricing.
