Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a five (5) year agreement with EmergiFire, LLC for Fire Billing Services (Fire Chief)
Background:
Approval of this item will authorize an agreement with EmergiFire, LLC for Fire Billing Services, for a five-year period beginning March 26, 2024, through October 31, 2029.
On March 7, 2023, the City issued BID # 23-023 for this item. Solicitation for bids included the city's website, and Galveston Daily News advertisement. A committee of five (5) independently evaluated and scored the proposals submitted by EmergiFire LLC, and Fire Recovery USA. Proposals were evaluated utilizing the following matrix; Experience and Qualifications, Project Methodology, Project Implementation, and Pricing and Fees. The committee agreed to present EmergiFire, LLC for council approval. EmergiFire, LLC’s commission rate is eighteen percent (18.0%) of cash collections for Fire Billing Services. This commission will be applied to the reimbursement received and deducted from the total cash collections before payment is remitted to the City of League City. EmergiFire, LLC projects a collection of $100,000 during the first year of service.

FUNDING
