Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing an amendment to the agreement with Yellowstone Landscape - Central, Inc. to increase the total compensation by $140,000 and extend the contract term from September 30, 2024 to November 30, 2024 for city-wide rough-cut mowing services in a total not to exceed an amount of $747,671 (Director of Public Works)
Background:
Approval of this item will authorize an amendment to the agreement with Yellowstone Landscape - Central, Inc. to increase the total compensation by $140,000 and extend the contract term from September 30, 2024 to November 30, 2024 for rough-cut mowing services in a total not to exceed amount of $747,671.
The current one-year contract agreement with Yellowstone Landscape - Central, Inc. is for the period of October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024 in the amount of $607,671. On August 15, 2024 the City released Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 24-052 Mowing Services (Rough-Cut) for city-wide rough-cut mowing services. The RFP opening is scheduled for September 18, 2024, with a targeted Council date of October 22, 2024. Due to the current contract expiring on September 30, 2024, Staff is requesting an amendment to the current contract to work through any anticipated delays in the RFP award process.
Yellowstone Landscape - Central, Inc. has agreed to the terms of this amendment and Staff’s recommendation is to extend the agreement for rough-cut mowing services.
