Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a construction contract with Ram Rod Utilities, LLC for the Davis Road 15-Inch Gravity Sewer Replacement Project (WW1801K) in an amount not to exceed $378,535.00 and authorizing an additional $37,853.00 for a Work Change Directive budget for a total construction budget of $416,388.00 (Executive Director of Capital Projects)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize the award of a construction contract with Ram Rod Utilities, LLC, for the Davis Road 15-Inch Gravity Sewer Replacement Project (WW1801K) in an amount not to exceed $378,535.00 and authorizing an additional $37,853.00 for a Work Change Directive budget for a total construction budget of $416,388.00.
The project scope is to replace approximately 550 linear feet of existing 15-inch gravity sewer along Davis Road near the City’s Davis Road Lift Station using pipe-bursting and open-cut construction methods. Work includes excavation, bypass pumping, appurtenances, coatings, tie-ins, connection to the existing wet well, and all other work necessary to place the replacement gravity sewer into service. The project also includes rehabilitation of three (3) existing 5-foot-diameter sanitary sewer manholes.
Three (3) sealed bids for the project were received on July 20, 2026 (Bid No. 2026-044). Based on the City’s A+B bidding method and bids and contract times received, Ram Rod Utilities, LLC submitted the lowest responsible and responsive cost value bid in amount of $378,535.00 and 105 calendar days. Attached is the City’s engineering consultant’s recommendation of award and bid tabulation.

FUNDING
{X} Funding in the amount of $416,388 is available from Miscellaneous Utility Capital Projects Fund, fund 1055, with expenses charged to project expense string WW1801K- CONSTRUCT- CONSTRUCT -RS CASH.
