Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a one-year renewal agreement with Yellowstone Landscape - Central, Inc. for city-wide rough-cut mowing services in an amount not to exceed $607,671 (Director of Public Works)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize a one-year renewal agreement with Yellowstone Landscape - Central, Inc. for rough-cut mowing services from October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024 in an amount not to exceed $607,671including a 3% escalation in accordance with the existing agreement. This is the second and final renewal and this service will be rebid in FY2024.

• Exhibit D - Roadside Ditch Mowing (9 per year) -- $123,781

• Fiscal Year Total -- $607,671
On August 23, 2022, City Council approved a one-year renewal agreement with Yellowstone Landscape - Central, Inc. for the period October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023 in an not to exceed amount of $590,700, with the option to renew for one (1) additional one-year period.
On October 22, 2019, City Council approved a three-year agreement with Yellowstone Landscape - Central, Inc. Bid# 19-PW-036 for the period November 1, 2019 through September 30, 2022 in a total not to exceed amount of $2,121,008.55, with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year periods.
The overall not to exceed contract amount of $607,671 includes the following additions:
• Bradshaw Nursery Detention Pond (4.91 acres)
• Dove Meadows Detention Pond (16.7 acres)
• Hobbs Road Right-of-Way (9.28 acres)
• West Nasa Rd One (2.49 acres)
Staff is requesting an additional $8,650 to address areas of expanded service required to maintain City standards and City-wide aesthetics along major thoroughfares and other unforeseen areas of concern.
Yellowstone Landscape - Central, Inc. has agreed to the terms of this renewal and Staff’s recommendation is to renew the agreement for rough-cut mowing services (exhibits A, C, D and E) based on exemplary service history and fair market pricing.
