Title

Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a professional services agreement with Birkhoff, Hendricks & Carter, L.L.P. for design, bid, and construction phase services related to 12-inch Waterline along FM 2094 from Davis Road to Signature Point (WT1904J) in an amount not to exceed $213,995 (Executive Director of Capital Projects)

Background:

Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a professional services agreement with Birkhoff, Hendricks & Carter (BHC), L.L.P. for design, bid, and construction phase services related to 12-inch Waterline along FM 2092 from Davis Road to Signature Point (WT1904J) in an amount not to exceed $213,995.

The purpose of this project is to fill the missing waterline gap on FM 2094 between Davis Road and Signature Point by installing this waterline.  The completion of this missing gap in City’s water distribution system will provide reliability and serviceability improvements.  This line will provide emergency back feed and pressure enhancement to service areas that include Davis Road eastward through the five corners, to the eastside of Historic District. Additionally, it will enhance our ability to address water quality issues during low demand/high water age events that occurs more frequently in recent times.

BHC design scope includes preliminary and final designs, surveying, subsurface utility engineering, land/easement acquisition services, and other services as presented below:

1.                     Preliminary & Design Phases                                          $    78,500
