Background:
The Tree City USA program is a nationwide movement that provides the framework for communities to manage and expand their public trees. More than 3,400 communities have achieved Tree City USA Status by meeting the required standards of sound urban forestry. The City of League City met the requirements of Tree City USA in 2019 and 2020. To maintain our status as Tree City USA, each year the City must have an Arbor Day observance and proclamation.
