Background:
Approval of this item will authorize up to $400,000 in expenditures with Sysco, Gordon Food Service, and Ben E. Keith for food supply services for The Ballpark at League City for the next fiscal year.
On July 30, 2024 the City released an RFP for Food Supply Services and received a total of three (3) responses from Sysco, Gordon Food Service, and Ben E. Keith. A cost analysis was conducted that determined Ben E. Keith to be the lowest cost supplier at the time of the RFP. However, due to the constant fluctuation of food prices and of product availability, it is in the best interest of the City to engage with all three (3) vendors to ensure the food supply needs of The Ballpark at League City are met.
Using multiple vendors will ensure that food service is not hindered by varying delivery lead times or shortages in product. Total cost for food supply services across all vendors should not exceed a total of $400,000, based on current spending.
