Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a contract for election services between the Election Officer of Harris County, Harris County and the City of League City for the General Election and Special Election on November 5, 2024 (City Secretary)

 

 

Background:

Harris County will be conducting a joint election on November 5, 2024 for multiple entities. Approval of this item will allow the City of League City to contract with Harris County to provide election services for those League City Harris County voters who reside in Precinct 0742.  The County will provide mail ballots to eligible voters who request them.  The County will provide all equipment, supplies and personnel required for Early Voting and Election Day as detailed in the attached contract.    

 

The City's pro rata share is calculated as a percentage based on the number of contracting jurisdictions/entitys that will be serviced by the County.  The City's pro rata share is estimated at $3,528.20.
