Background:
City Council action is required to amend the City’s Code of Ordinances. The proposed ordinance removes certain fee amounts currently codified in Chapter 22 and provides that those fees shall instead be established by the City’s current fee schedule.
The proposed ordinance applies to fees related to cross-connection control administration and plan review revisions. This amendment is intended to create consistency with the City’s current fee administration practices by removing specific fee amounts from the Code and allowing those fees to be maintained through the applicable fee schedule.
A companion resolution adopting the updated fee schedule is included on the same agenda. The ordinance removes specific fee amounts from the Code, and the companion resolution places those fees in the fee schedule. Presenting the items together is intended to maintain consistency between the Code and the City’s fee schedule.
