Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing the purchase of one (1) 2025 Ford F550 ambulance from Southern Emergency and Rescue Vehicle Sales with related emergency equipment for Emergency Medical Services using H-GAC Contract No. AM10-23 in an amount not to exceed $482,385.89 (Director of Public Works)

Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize the purchase of one (1) 2025 Ford F550 ambulance from Southern Emergency and Rescue Vehicle Sales with related emergency equipment for Emergency Medical Services using H-GAC Contract No. AM10-23 in an amount not to exceed $482,385.89.

The FY2026 approved budget authorizes funding to replace one (1) Ford F550 ambulance from the Capital Replacement fund ($480,000) and purchase a new Ford F550 ambulance from EMS ($703,310). The soonest possible purchase approval will allow the City to secure the quick build unit for $482,385.89. The second FY2026 new ambulance will be brought to Council at a later date.
