Consider and take action on a resolution for the expenditure with Binswanger Glass in an amount not to exceed $57,290 for restaurant replacement doors at the Ballpark at League City (Executive Director of Information Technology, Facilities and Ballpark)
Background:
Approval of this item will authorize the replacement of eight pairs of aluminum and glass storefront doors at the Ballpark restaurants. The existing doors will be replaced with clear anodized aluminum doors featuring 9/16-inch clear laminated, hurricane-impact-rated glass, CVR panic hardware, surface closers, and associated hardware.
Staff solicited and evaluated proposals from multiple-qualified contractors for the door replacement work and reviewed pricing. After evaluating scope, pricing, and overall value, staff recommends awarding the job to Binswanger Glass.
In accordance with the City's purchasing policy, staff obtained and evaluated three quotes for the work:
Binswanger Glass $57,290.00 Approximately 3-4 weeks (also on state co-op TIPS 260504)
Houston Sea of Glass $57,833.50 No estimated delivery date available
Admiral Glass $154,200.00 Approximately 5-6 weeks
