Consider and take action to authorize the City Manager to execute an interlocal agreement with the City of Sachse for participation in a cooperative purchasing program (Director of Parks and Cultural Services)
Background:
Approval of this item will authorize an interlocal agreement between the Cities of League City and Sachse. This will allow either entity to purchase goods or services based upon bids received by the other entity.
The public library of the City of Sachse approached League City staff concerning their need for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) services. Both city representatives communicated with the League City contractor, 3M, who agreed to extend both pricing, and terms and conditions to Sachse from League City's contract.
The City of Sachse City Council will approve an interlocal agreement with the City of League City for a cooperative purchasing authority and authorizing their use of the League City contract with 3M for RFID services.
