Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a one-year renewal agreement with Semper Striping, LLC for roadway markings on-call in an amount not to exceed $174,470 (Director of Public Works)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize a one-year renewal agreement with Semper Striping, LLC for installation of roadway markings on-call from March 1, 2025 through February 28, 2026 in an amount not to exceed $174,470 with no renewal option remaining.
On February 13, 2024, City Council approved a one-year renewal agreement with Semper Striping, LLC from March 1, 2024 through February 28, 2025 in an amount not to exceed $174,470 with the option to renew for one (1) additional one-year period.
On February 14, 2023, City Council approved a one-year agreement with Semper Striping, LLC Bid No. 23-011 from March 1, 2023 through February 29, 2024 in an amount not to exceed $174,470 with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year periods.
The previous contract value was $174,470 and the current FY25 Budget for this service is $150,000.
The quantities used in the bid form are just an estimate used to approximate the total work required. The work will be paid based on specific work orders and the unit prices for completion of work. The work orders will be developed throughout the year based on needs. Each individual work order may include multiple locations but will include a minimum of $5,000.00 worth of markings. Examples of proposed FY25-FY26 work orders would include, but not be limited to, the remarking of: Ervin Street (Calder Rd to Hobbs Rd); Maple Leaf Drive (League City Pkwy to Amberwood Dr); League City Pkwy (Cones Ln to Maple Leaf Dr); Houston Avenue (Galveston Rd to Hwy 3); Centerpointe Drive (W. Walker St to Calder Rd); Webster Street ( Texas Ave to Louisiana Ave); and Beaumont Street (Texas Ave to Dickinson Ave).
