Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing an agreement with Hahn Equipment Co., Inc. for one (1) 85H.P. FLYGT electric submersible sewage pump for the Dallas Salmon Wastewater Treatment Plant (WW2103) in an amount not to exceed $94,170 (Director of Public Works)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize the purchase of one (1) new FLYGT, NP3301, 10-inch discharge, electric submersible sewage pump, complete with 85H.P., 460-volt, 3 phase, 60 hertz motor, explosion proof motor, #634 impeller, with 50’ power cables for the Dallas Salmon Wastewater Treatment Plant (DSWWTP) in an amount not to exceed $94,170.
The new pump will replace one of the two existing 85H.P. pumps. The subject pump is 17 years old and has surpassed its expected service life. This replacement activity is part of the approved FY2024 Capital Improvement Plan for project WW2103, Dallas Salmon WWTP Improvements which was budgeted at $110,000.
The proposed new pump ensures reliability and performance needed to maintain regulatory compliance. The DSWWTP lift station collects and conveys approximately 80 percent of the City’s daily wastewater flow.
