Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize Change Order 1 to the construction contract with SpawGlass Contractors for the Pat Hallisey Park Project (PK2001), in an amount not to exceed $494,968 and authorizing a utility budget of $200,000 to work with TNMP and Phillips 66 Pipeline Company on their power extension to the site and utility relocation.
Change Order 1 - During the April 2026 Work Session to review bids & alternates, Council requested changes be made to further extend the artificial turf on four (4) Pony-Colt infields to increase options for field usage and add a tall netting system around the Pony fields to match the backstop system. Also, staff recommend additional interior fences be added to the pickleball courts and higher quality netting systems for the backstop and batting tunnels. The Contractor submittal a proposal for $494,968.00 for these add-ons. Details of this Change Order 1 are included in Attachment 8.
The scope of work in Change Order 1 includes the following major upgrades/renovations:
1. Additional interior fences added to pickleball courts $47,577
2. Change in Supplier of backstop netting system & batting tunnels $33,651
3. Additional tall nettings system at Pony/Colt outfields (2 fields) $257,600
4. Expansion of Pony infields with additional base line $156,140
