Hold a public hearing on the League City 2024 Master Mobility Plan Update as an element of the Comprehensive Plan of the City of League City (Executive Director of Development Services)
Background:
Approval of this ordinance will approve the League City 2024 Master Mobility Plan Update.
The 2024 League City Master Mobility Plan is an update to the 2018 Master Mobility Plan. Its goals focus on improving mobility and safety for all users, practicing responsible fiscal management, and preserving existing infrastructure to create a livable community and a special place to live. The Major Thoroughfare Plan (MTP) is a key component of the Mobility Plan. The MTP identifies roadway expansion needs, provides transparency about potential roadway expansions to the public, preserves adequate right-of-way, and guides development decisions. By adopting a proactive approach, the MTP will help League City maintain a sustainable and efficient transportation network.
The 2024 League City Master Mobility Plan will replace the current versions which were approved by Council in 2018.
