Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing Third Amendment to the professional services agreement with Sander Engineering Corporation to increase the total compensation by $59,200 for the updating of final design documents, bid, and construction phase services related to the League City Parkway West New Water Well and Ground Storage Tank Project (WT1910), for an aggregate amount not to exceed $543,961 and extend the agreement term to allow for the completion of additional services.
Previously, First Amendment for $7,500 and Second Amendment for $12,261 were administratively approved.
This project is identified in the 2018 Water Master Plan and includes on 1,500 gpm water well and one ground storage tank (GST) on approximately 2 acres on the west side. The project site is the south corner of the 16-acres in Westover Park which is planned for a future Library site or City Park. The project generally consists of the construction of a new water well, pre-engineered mechanical building, 1 million-gallon GST, booster pumps and miscellaneous items such as site work, driveway, parking area and electrical work. The current estimated construction cost is $7.5 million.
