Consider and take action on an ordinance amending the City of League City, Texas, Governmental, Proprietary, and Capital Funds Budget for Fiscal Year 2024 by amending Ordinance No. 2023-28 and Ordinance No. 2023-33 to adjust the operating and capital budget for actual and projected expenditures related to Public Safety radios (Mayor Long and Council Member Cones)
Staff requests approval on first and final reading.
Background:
The proposed ordinance requests an increase of $1,599,115 to the General Fund.
If approved, the proposed ordinance would amend the City’s FY2024 budget to incorporate proposed adjustments for:
General Fund
Capital Equipment ($1,599,115): increase IT department for two hundred (200) APX Next N70 Motorola Radios for public safety. Funds in the same amount will be transferred from Fire Station 7 CIP Fund 5018.

General Fund
The requested adjustment to the General Fund is an increase of $1,599,115, which is offset by revenue of the same from Fire Station 7 CIP fund 5018. The total fund appropriation amended budget of $100,426,444 increases by $1,599,115 to $102,025,559.
