Background:

Approval of this agenda item would allow the League City Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) to meet at times other than Monday through Friday at 5 p.m. or later.

Currently, section 2-397 of the League City Code requires all boards, commissions and committees of the City to schedule regular meetings no earlier than 5:00 P.M on Monday through Friday.

The Council previously considered this same ordinance amendment at the June 11, 2023 meeting.  The previous ordinance failed with a tie vote, 4-4.
