Consider and take action to accept the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the year ended September 30, 2025 (Director of Finance)
Background:
Approval of this item acknowledges receipt and acceptance of the report and the results of the annual audit from the firm Weaver and Tidwell, LLP, auditors for the City of League City. The ACFR will be delivered to the Finance Committee upon receipt from the Auditors.
Chapter 103 of the Texas Local Government Code requires a city to have its records and accounts audited annually and to file the resulting annual financial statement, together with the auditor’s opinion on that statement, in the office of the city secretary or clerk within 180 days after the last day of the city’s fiscal year. Because League City operates on a fiscal year ending September 30, the last day to be within 180 days of September 30, 2025, would be Saturday, March 28, 2026.
