Title

Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a three-year agreement with Bound Tree Medical to purchase medical supplies for an amount not to exceed $540,000.00 (Fire Chief)

Background:

Approval of this item will authorize a three-year agreement with Bound Tree Medical to purchase medical supplies for an amount not to exceed $540,000.00.  Bound Tree Medical was awarded the bid for the purchase of medical supplies for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Division.

On July 26, 2023 a Request for Proposal (RFP 23-020) EMS Medical Supplies was released to the public. The objective of this solicitation was to seek a vendor to provide qualifications and pricing for medical supplies. Four (4) proposals were received and opened on August 17, 2023.  The EMS division evaluated and scored the proposal utilizing the following matrix:

1)                     Qualifications - overview and scope, utilization of operative IQ, and required State and Federal certifications for pharmaceuticals

2)                     Pricing and Fees - ability to supply all items requested, cost of items, and additional fees including shipping.

Bound Tree Medical has been the incumbent medical supplier and has an exceptional history with League City Fire Department, and provided the best value to the city for medical supplies.
