Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a one-year renewal agreement with Bound Tree Medical to purchase medical supplies for an amount not to exceed $185,400 (Fire Chief)
Background:
Approval of this item will authorize a one-year agreement with Bound Tree for the purchase of medical supplies for an amount not to exceed $185,400.00. Bound Tree was awarded the bid for the purchase of medical supplies for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) division on 09/26/2023, Resolution 2023-139, with a term of three years and two one-year renewal options. This will execute the first of the two one-year renewal options and includes the 3% price increase permitted under RFP 23-020. This pricing adjustment reflects a nationwide price increase and will apply only to the items identified in the attached document. Pricing for all other items included in the contract will remain unchanged.
Bound Tree Medical has been the incumbent medical supplier and has an exceptional history with League City EMS.
The recommendation is to renew the contract to Bound Tree Medical which provides the best value to the city for medical supplies. The estimated annual expenditure for medical supplies is $185,400.
