Background:
Approval of this item will award East Texas Truck Systems (ETTS) for the installation of six-yard dump truck beds on three (3) Ford F-750 chassis (Unit 821, Unit 823, and Unit 829) in an amount not to exceed $72,550.
On September 17, 2024 the City released Intent to Bid (ITB) No. 24-057 Installation of Dump Truck Body on Ford F-750 Chassis. One qualified sealed bid was received on October 15, 2024, from East Texas Truck Systems in the amount of $72,550.
This item addresses previously approved purchases for three (3) replacement Ford F750 cab and chassis. These purchases will complete the final build of three (3) Ford F750 dump trucks for Public Works.
On January 23, 2024, Council approved Resolution Item 2024-12 under agenda item 6G for FY2024 replacement purchases of cab and chassis (Purchase Order 2240597):
1) Dump Truck Unit 821 - Ford F750
2) Dump Truck Unit 823 - Ford F750
3) Dump Truck Unit 829 - Ford F750
Staff’s recommendation is to award the ITB 24-057 Installation of Dump Truck Body to East Texas Truck Systems in an amount not to exceed $72,550.
