Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a professional services agreement with JNS Engineers, LLC for the design and construction phase services related to the League City Pkwy Right Turn Lane - Calder to Butler (ST2004) in an amount not to exceed $221,121 (Director of Budget and Project Management)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize funding for a professional services agreement with JNS Engineers, LLC for the design and construction phase services related to League City Pkwy Right Turn Lane - Calder to Butler Project (ST2004). This project is primarily funded with 2018 Galveston County Bonds and JNS was selected by Galveston County per the interlocal agreement (see attached for details).
The scope of this project is to design an eastbound right turn lane from 450 linear feet west of Butler Road to 300 linear feet west of I45 Southbound Frontage Road, and tie to TXDOT right turn lane.
Project design also includes:
• Existing storm sewer adjustments: Inlet leads, and Inlets
• Traffic Control Plan
• SWPPP
• 2,200 Linear Feet of 12-foot-wide, 8-inch concrete pavement.
• Adjustments of Signals at Butler Road

FUNDING
{X} Funding in the amount of $221,121.00 is available from Misc Capital Projects fund 5015 with expenses charged to expense string ST2001-PLAN DESIGN-DESIGN-GALV CO. The project costs are funded by an interlocal agreement with Galveston County and the Miscellaneous Capital Projects Fund 5015 will be reimbursed with 2018 Galveston County bonds. Cost overruns due to additional scope will be funded by the City.
