Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a professional services agreement with Terracon Consultants, Inc. for Materials Testing for the Bay Ridge Flood Reduction - Phase 3 Project (DR1901), in an amount not to exceed $177,065 (Director of Budget & Project Management)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize the award of professional services for materials testing to Terracon Consultants, Inc. for the materials testing of the Bay Ridge Flood Reduction - Phase 3 (DR1901). Material testing services are required for the project and are contracted directly from the City to Terracon and are separate from the construction contract.
The construction contract was awarded to Conrad Construction Co., LTD at the October 13, 2020 Council meeting in the amount of $4,379,545.
This project will help with street ponding and reduce the flooding potential during large rainfall events. Construction of extreme overflow swales at Seacrest Blvd, Anchor Way, Windward Drive, and Baycrest Drive will allow for the free outfall into the detention pond. Improvements to Marlin Court are included as well.
