Background:
Approval of this item will authorize a contract with/between the Election Officer of the County of Galveston, the County of Galveston and the City of League City for the General Election on November 4, 2014.
Section 31.092 of the Texas Election Code authorizes the City to contract with the County Election Officer to conduct the elections. This contract is for Joint Election services for the General Election to be held on November 4, 2014 and all costs will be split between the County of Galveston and/or all participating parties. League City's total cost for the 2012 General and Special Election, including payment to Galveston and Harris Counties and cost for advertising, was less than $50,000.
