Background:
Approval of this item will allow the prompt repair and return to service of multiple lift pumps at the Dallas Salmon WWTP, State Hwy 3 Lift Station and the Woodcock Lift Station. These repairs will provide full capacity and redundancy to ensure regulatory compliance.

The Wastewater Department experienced an abnormally high rate of pump failures in a 45-day period beginning in December 2014. These are typical failures seen in the harsh duty environment of conveying wastewater. Repair summaries are as follows:

Dallas Salmon WWTP - 185 hp Flygt Submersible $40,950.49
In service since 1997 with one major rebuild in 2007. Needs replacement of the rotor and shaft with
damage beyond allowable tolerances for reconditioning. The impeller is beyond allowable
tolerances for reconditioning as well as the bearings, seals and all miscellaneous items.

State Highway 3 Lift Station - 7.5 hp Flygt Submersible $ 6,654.75
In service since 2003 with no service history of repairs. Needs replacement of Stator and Volute due to
wear beyond allowable tolerances for reconditioning. Needs reconditioning of the impeller
and replacement of the guide bracket, bearing and seals.

Woodcock Lift Station - 15 hp Flygt Submersible $11,912.00
In service since 1999 with no service history of repairs. Needs reconditioning of the stator and rotor.
Replacement of the impeller due to wear beyond allowable tolerances for reconditioning as well as
replacement of all bearings, seals and miscellaneous items.
Total $59,517.24
