Consider and take action to award a bid for the purchase of petroleum products to Apache Oil (Director of Finance)
 
Background:
Approval of this item will authorize the annual purchase of petroleum products by the vehicle maintenance department.
 
Sealed bids for petroleum products were opened on June 2, 2015.  Two (2) bids were received.  Apache Oil Company submitted the lowest price for both unleaded and diesel fuel at .046 + the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) spot pricing.  Apache Oil also submitted a price of $125 per tank and pump in the event that a disaster occurs and the City may have a need for portable fueling tanks.
 
Apache is the City's current provider of petroleum products.  This award will be effective for two (2) years, through June 23, 2017 with three (3) one-year renewal options upon mutual agreement of both parties.  The estimated annual expenditure for this product is $900,000.
