Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing an interlocal agreement with NASA-JSC for reciprocal use of Emergency Operations Centers in the event of a disaster (Fire Chief)
Background:
Approval of this item will enter The City of League City and The NASA Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (JSC) into an agreement to provide coordinated responses to a wide spectrum of emergencies affecting the region through reciprocal utilization of the League City Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and the JSC EOC. The City of League City and NASA JSC share a common interest in maintaining the ability to quickly assess, respond to, and recover from natural disasters and other emergencies. This non-reimbursable agreement provides a measure to quickly assess and respond to disaster should either parties’ EOC be nonoperational as a result of said incident.
CONTRACT ORIGINATION:Contract renewal originated with JSC and approved by the City Attorney's Office.
