Consider and take action on a resolution for a Consent to Encroach Agreement with Sports Shed Kemah, LLC for a proposed private sanitary sewer force main line within an unnamed, unopened 40-foot platted road right-of-way and a City sanitary sewer easement associated with the commercial development located at 1520 Lawrence Road (Deputy City Manager)

 

Background:

If approved, this resolution for a Consent to Encroach Agreement will allow Sports Shed Kemah, LLC to construct a private sanitary sewer force main line within an unnamed, unopened 40-foot platted road right-of-way and a City sanitary sewer easement in association with the commercial development located at 1520 Lawrence Road.

 

The commercial development is for storage units.  The private force main will be a 2-inch diameter line, approximately 725 linear feet in length.  In keeping with similar past agreements, the City will receive a payment of $1,317.90.

 

*                     ($15 per inch diameter pipe x 2-inch diameter pipe x 43.93 rods of pipe [1 rod = 16.5 feet]

 

The City is not giving up any of its rights and Sport Shed Kemah, LLC, or its successors, are responsible for any maintenance and repairs to the private force main.
