Consider and take action on an ordinance amending Chapter 2, Article VIII of the Code of Ordinances of the City of League City to require compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act by all city boards, commissions and committees (Mayor Hallisey and Council Member Dugie)

Background:

Approval of this ordinance will require compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act by all city boards, commissions, or committees, including posting of meeting agendas on the bulletin board at City Hall and on the City website at least 72 hours in advance of all meetings and posting  minutes on the City website following approval by the board.

Currently, those boards that are purely advisory do not have to comply with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
